This blog is devoted to ideas related to decision making in our daily lives. The paradox of modern society is that we have so much choice that it is actually paralyzing. For important decisions, it’s great to have options, but few people have enough free time to make good choices in every situation. How do we we strike the right balance between “optimal decisions” and “analysis paralysis”?
I’ll be sharing helpful research in the area while also pointing out good examples of decision-making tools and resources. Our company is focused on creating a few online tools to help in decision making, but the topic here is broader here than just these tools. Just as important are the ways choices are framed, the way information is conveyed, the circumstances that people experience, and best-practice psychology. We will discuss all of this.
